AI Overviews Traffic Impact Review

Google's AI Overviews have changed the search landscape by providing AI-generated answers directly within the search results. For some searches, this means users can get the information they need without clicking through to a website at all.

The impact isn't uniform, however. Some websites, queries and types of content are much more exposed than others. In particular, informational searches where the user is looking for a straightforward answer can be more susceptible to losing clicks, while commercial searches where users still need to research, compare, enquire or buy may be less affected.

Rather than assuming AI Overviews are responsible for changes in your organic performance, I'll use your actual search data to understand where and how your website is being affected.

• Provide practical recommendations for adapting your content and wider SEO strategy as the search landscape continues to evolve.

The objective isn't to find tricks for "optimising for AI Overviews". It's to understand how AI Overviews are changing the value of the searches you currently target and make sensible decisions about where your SEO time and budget should be focused as a result.
